Finally - a response

Sorry for not blogging the past few days... was feeling depressed.

Well, I finally received an email response from the visa agent and I just found out that the balance TOTAL payment of 60% is payable even before determining whether the visa application would be successfully submitted or not. If the application is unsuccessful, it'll depend on the agent whether to refund you SOME money, as they will charge based on how much work they did as well. Also, the agent has a right to withdraw the application if they feel it’s not ‘working’ and they are not obligated to pay us back anything! Meaning I have to take risk and TRUST the agent on this that he will work on our case without discriminating based on our ‘past’ dealings.

The other agencies that Beary has checked out however, would request you to pay around 80% maximum, until you receive news on the application status. If it’s unsuccessful, then you don’t have to pay the 20%.
So right now, I’m really taking a risk! *sigh*

I’m feeling so depressed now. Didn’t know this will end up like that.
It’s either I just burn the 40% payment I made, and seek a new agent, or go ahead and take the risk and cross my fingers, toes etc so that he won’t sabotage me :(
